Wisbech Royal Visit
HRH The Princess Royal has been patron of Citizens Advice since 1990 and since that date has visited between 10 and 15 local Citizens Advice nearly every year. The Princess Royal is patron of Citizens Advice rather than individual local Citizens Advice.
May saw the visit of HRH The Princess Royal, to our Wisbech office at The Queen Mary Centre. There she met with staff, trustees, clients and other guests, and presented long service awards to both Oonagh Tucker and Pennie Firth.
Princess Anne spoke to staff about our projects and also with two clients about the help they received through CARC with their benefits.
At the end of the visit, Her Royal Highness unveiled a plaque commemorating her visit and a posy was presented to her by Oonagh’s three-year old granddaughter.
